  17. You can change the system font in Windows NT by editing the Registry using
  18. the REGEDIT utility.
  19.  
  20. WARNING: Using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-
  21.    wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows NT to correct
  22.    them. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the
  23.    use of the Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at your own
  24.    risk.

  26. The FONTS.FON value in the following subkey under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  27. hive can be changed to the font of your choice:

  29.    \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\GRE_Initialize

  31. Note: You must enter a font filename with the extension, .FON, in order for
  32. this to work.

  34. CAUTION: Changing the system font may make some command buttons, check
  35. boxes and captions unreadable, especially if you are using a 256 color
  36. video driver.
